i’ve practiced my lines with everyone i meet every friday in Sant Antoni, at the weekly meet and greet what brings you here, why did you leave a different version for every person I’m less and less convinced how can one condense themselves into a sentence? how can one find it so easy to make conversation on all the places, people, trauma that shaped them? i don’t know how though i try my best to relate all my experiences, unspoken my mouth is shut my ears are open i know we said we didn’t wanna get good at goodbyes with every person, i get nervous that it’s the same ending in disguise practicing embracing vulnerability accustomed to the star-crossed probability it’s alright, it doesn’t have to be a waste of time how can one condense themselves into a sentence? how can one find it so easy to make conversation on all the places, people, trauma that shaped them? i don’t see how though i try my best to relate all my experiences, unspoken my eyes are shut my arms are open i think you’re cool too sadly, i’m just passing through i’ll keep you in mind i’m glad that our paths aligned

about

a couple septembers ago, we were lucky enough to tour through the beautiful country of Spain while visiting Nina at her home abroad.
we landed in Barcelona, dropped our stuff off at Nina's went to a practice space, and pretty much immediately wrote this song.
that whole tour was such a beautiful, chaotic couple weeks, and the song was written in a similar chaotic manner. we haven't really played all together since then, and in light of this we felt like at least the two of us getting together and recording a demo in the same chaotic fashion it was written.

oh we also recorded a cover of one of our favorite Schmillsson songs, just as a treat. features Judcody Limon on lead kazoo.

Nina collaged the artwork the night before this was uploaded, Matt recorded it 2-3 days previously.
